You've seen this pattern before but I was dying to use some of the new textured glass I bought, this is today's result. And I like the splooshy solder, couldn't tell right?

Splooshy solder is just fine, as long as you're doing it on purpose - or if the viewer thinks you did it on purpose.
I like the "Daisy" glass. For ages thought that was really old stuff, until I discovered that it was not only still made, but was relatively inexpensive.

I know Graham. I actually had someone at a show ask me if I didn't know how to draw a bead. She was being snotty as most (95%) of what I had there wasn't splooshy solder so I told her to look at the piece beside it! Not everyone likes it so I don't do it much but my attitude is if they don't like it they don't have to buy it, someone else will. Whatever! It is what it is.

Kev, it's a Wissmach called Florentine. Small daisys. There's another one Pilkinton makes called Mayflower - those daisys are BIG - but still a cool glass. I prefer the Wissmach one but I have both. Now I need an idea to use the Mayflower. Any suggestions??

the wissmach also comes in other colors -- I have some in a real pretty violet that I just got and I think there is also a limey green. I would use the mayflower glass in a candle shelter -- I did a real simple one with scalloped edges out of wissmach figure C and it was a big hit

Like that! In my part of the world, I've only seen that daisey design glass in very old windows. That will be sooo pretty in the sun! I'm with Lou Ann on a candle shelter/nightlight with the bigger daisy pattern, as it is decorative in itself. If you want to add a detail, how about a butterfly/dragonfly/ladybug/whatever other creature you'd find among the daisies!
