Hi JaneB,  Welcome

On behalf of the AOG team, we would like to extend a warm welcome and we are glad you decided to join our forum. If you need any assistance, please feel free to ask any member, we are more than happy to assist you.

To ensure our membership roster is up to date with active members, and as per the membership agreement, please be aware that inactive members that have been absent from the forum for 180 days will automatically have their membership removed.

Out of curiosity, how did you hear of us and ultimately find us and could you please let us know what type or types of glass (Cold/Warm/Hot) you enjoy doing?

One thing more - the only stupid question is the one that does not get asked.

Enjoy!

Hello Everyone! Sheesh, I am not that computer savy and was waiting for another reply from the moderator?! Just got on here and want to navigate around and see some inspiration! I have been into stained glass for about 10yrs, and really got into mosaics, specifially garden art 3d stuff, as it is sooo forgiving!heh heh! I am POWERLESS over stained glass and never walk out of a stained glass store under $100/worth of the precious stuff! Evil Grin I have a boat load of the stuff now...could practically open up my own store...I find that my tastes are getting more expensive($20+/sqft) grrr. so want to get back into actual stained glass work again and use some of it up!!! I have just bought some glass(Do you find you NEVER have the color for the project/idea you have in mind!?!), and want to make some 3d stars w/lights in them to hang over my pond(Pergola).... I only went to the store to pick up some new wheels for my nippers! Stuff Happens I also picked up some glass for the 3d seahorse(cement) I am mosaicing and using wedi board on to "Bling" up the fins! Anyhoo, thanks for the welcome and I will endeavor to show some WIP pics! Jane(Can't remember how I found you!?)

I'm the same way Jane..I always end up with more than I originally went in for, and isn't it always the way.....no matter how big your glass stash is, there is always at least one kind or color of glass you don't have ..so back to the store again...LOL

Oh I can relate too. My stash(which is plenty) will never have that one color I need....lol. Looking forward to seeing those stars, they sound great. Welcome back to stain glass and this is the right place for inspiration....

The whale panel was inspired by the round frame, that I scored at a thrift store, 24" wide, the frame was for a light fixture, so the panel was for Hubby's B-day, I was trying to behave and only use the glass I have on hand, picked out the sky color but didn't have enough...so wandered around thinking about it, looking at my glass stash, and found a set of hand blown dishes that someone was selling at their garage sale(.25/each, was a wedding gift!?!) and cut one down to a rondel size and there you have it! It is so nice in my living room window, that one and the peacock one are in the windows, I just LOVE the colors and how they change during the day!
