sorry for the terrible picture.

I decided to try a black patina on this one. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out as I think it makes the piece itself pop more,
but I'm wondering if I did something wrong with the patina or maybe I was expecting something that wasn't going to happen?

It turned out more of a blackish/copperish color in spots?

Mine does too Joe, but it will darken further over time.

Sometimes, the more you rub, the more coppery it turns.  I try to just slop it on and be done with it.  But it will darken over time.

Rebecca, good thing you said that! I was going to try rubbing on some more tonight.
I think I will just leave it be, I'm happy with it so that's what matters hah

Thanks everyone for the compliments
