I took the old glass out ages ago and finally think I'm going to put new glass in now. I just put some simple bevel sets in the center and I'll probably use glueship or something simple surrounding the bevels. These are for two tv entertainment cabinets we have.
Thinking about putting a border around these but I really want to keep it simple and not put alot of money into them...just don't want them to look too blah so I'm not sure yet.

What is your opinion on the border thought???

Oh yeah, one is like 17"x18" and the other is about 17"x24"

I vote for a border - maybe even a double border. A single neutral or different textured clear coloured border. Or a double border, the inside one of bevels plus a second the same as the background. I suggest the outside border so that the beveled border doesn't get buried in the door frame.

I like the border idea too. It seems to complete the piece. I did a similar design without the border and to me to just looks unfinished.

I think it's unanimous - there should be a border (or two).

Well better late than never..but I agree with Graham also. I'd run a border...probably two..and maybe use some square or rectangular bevels on the inside border.  I think it will make these doors POP!

Can't wait to see what you design!!

So, when you do add the border, be sure to post the "new" door panels.  We are all waiting to see how they turn out.

Well here is what I got done tonight....LOTS lol. I LOVE them now, I do think they're a little fancy but it's ok. Hope you can tell where the gluechip is vs bevels? BTW, the one with the amber gluechip will be mounted long ways up and down, not as shown here.

whatcha think now?
