With all the sunflowers being made around here I decided to try a sunflower plate. Since I had no plates that would make a sunflower center I decided to take a clear plate and plate it with some brown granite. It really came out pretty cool. You can hang it with the plate to the front or have the granite side up which really works as the center of this flower.  It not totally finished  I still have to clean it and patina and polish it. I posted on facebook and It's already been sold.

Oh, Di, I like the way the clear glass plate looks with the brown fused to it.

What a great idea!  It's gorgeous!  Did you put the back or front of the plate against the granite?  It's really hard to tell in the photo.

Thanks everyone!  Tanya, I put the opening of the plate against the glass like a sandwich. I posted 2 more to show you the first shows a closup of the plate side and the other is the granite side ( I kept the texture on the outside) but this one is not in the light.
