I see these dish sets that have a knife or spoon.  If the knife was stainless steel could you fuse bits of glass to them or are they glued??  I come up with some real doozies don't I!!!

I suspect the glass is adhered to the steel.

The mass of the steel needed for a rigid knife is too great for the glass to stick to without cracking.  While the glass is hot it sticks to the steel, which contracts much more than the glass on cooling, causing the glass to crack or craze.

No.  Just making the observation.  Glue is still an option.

In addition, the stainless steel would discolor just like it does on ss draping molds.  Use E6000 and make sure they don't go in the dish washer.

I've had more success gluing garden stake rods using "Glass, metal and more" from Micheal's vs E6000 so if the E6000 doesn't work, try this one...
