Once again I took the plunge and bought a new toy...a wet tile saw. I'm going to use it to cut my cracked kiln shelf into dams of different lengths, and hopefully try my hand at doing some pattern bars which I will then slice up on the saw to make new creations. I also am excited about the possibility of trimming the edges of some pieces to give the edges a clean flat edge. There is also the possibility to bevel the edges at 45 degrees...that might be cool too.
I looked at Lowes and Home Depot, but was not sold on what they had, so I came home and checked out Harbour Freight and saw that they had some with great reviews and prices. I ended up with the Chicago 7" wet tile saw with a bridge.

Now that is a cool new toy, Kev! Mostly, no one knows what you're talking about here if you ask for an electric tile saw - all you get are those hand ones that just score the surface of the tile...... Have fun!

you're the epitomy of 'the boy with the most toys wins' Kev! My dh was going for that record but I thinking you're going to beat him hands down. :)

Build a studio/shed in the yard. Make it cute with gingerbread and a picket fence to go with the front yard

Well mine aint as big as that but I AM 'the saw lady', got more saws than I can point a stick at! I dry cut some edging tiles a few days ago with a glass cutter worked out fine, perfect cuts.
