My DH wants to get me a sandblasting setup for my B-day. The more I read the more confused I get. The compressor is no problem but not sure about the rest of it. Any knowledge or opinions about this setup? Any help is much appreciated.

I am sure this set up would work fine. I actually looked at it, but for myself I felt it would be too restricting in size to do some of the larger pieces I may want to do. Being that it is not that expensive, I think it is a great way to start to see if you like it, will actually use it much, and what it, and you, can do it it. At a later point you can always upscale to a larger system.

Thank's for the input Kev. I think this is the one we will go with. I'm sure I will have a million questions when I get started.
Judy yes I am very lucky to have been married to this wonderful man for 35 yrs. Wouldn't trade him for anything!

I think it is expensive compared to what is available in the world outside of stained glass.

One of the most important things to watch for is dust containment. I wouldn't get that little outfit without the dust collection system that's also on that site. And I'd want a close look at the specifications of the dust system too. It had better be top-notch. Plus, you'll want a good mask as a back-up.
The dust from sand-blasting isn't like the stuff that makes bunnies under the bed. This dust is dangerous to inhale. The kind of stuff that make miners a high health risk.

Thank's Graham for the input. Fortunately I'm also a wood worker so the dust problem is already taken care of. The dust can be a real problem from so many of the thing's I do that I am very careful.
