Started a fun little project a few days ago.  It's a funky cityscape on an old wine bottle using mostly scrap stained glass.  The sky is done with iridescent...I've had a sheet of it for quite awhile and just did not know what to use it for.  I plan on grouting today in black...will post more pics when it's done. :)

I love it! You do such great mosaic work! I can't wait to see it. Too bad the bottom was not cut off the bottle so you could light it from within.

I love it! It kind of gives me a feeling of being a Russian piece. It's very cool!

very nice I was just looking at some of my scraps last night, I have a few to spare can I send you some lol. ugh I don't know why I can't get into using them up and I have pleanty of options for "things" to mosaic on. It should be a rule once you break a sheet you have to use it completly befor you break a new sheet of it. haha

I agree with Kev, has a Russian feel/look to it also

Thanks everyone!!  This has been pretty fun.  It's so nice to go back to mosaics every now and again after doing a lot of stained glass.  My sister in law gave me 5 more bottles so I'm thinking of some more ideas.  :)

Meaco, you would do a perfect Starry Night in mosaic.  I would love to see it.

Thanks again...you guys are very nice!   Small flowers

Rebecca...that is so funny that you said that.  When I was doing the sky I told myself that this year I was going to do 'Starry Night' in mosaic.  It's one of my favorite paintings and I've been wanting to do it for a long time. :)

It's done...YEAH!!  Really like how it turned out.  I am just kicking myself for not using iridescent glass sooner in mosaics.  I've had the sheet in my stash for at least 2 years now and I am just now using it.  I couldn't get a good picture of it, but I put this in the sunlight and there were sparkles all on the wall.
