This is one of my newer pieces that went on display in a shop this morning along with two others like it in different colors.  All comments welcome!

Thanks, Kev.  Not rods...just 1/4" strips. It took me awhile to get these to the point where I like them...now every one I do I like better than the one before!

Becki, that is so AWESOME!!! I can't imagine the shop wouldn't sell them really quickly. I really like it, it's just stunning! It's just the strips, no clear background? You aren't worried about it being too fragile?  Sorry - didn't mean to sound like I'm criticising - because I'm NOT.  It's beautiful.

That's really lovely!   Now... because I'm a foodie, and because I like to use beautiful things on my table, here's a thought..make a kelp leaf plate for under it and  use it for a berry bowl, or for cold shrimp,  or just leave the darned thing alone and admire it the way it is! It really is very very pretty.

Thanks!  Anne, I didn't take your question as criticism at all!  A clear base glass wouldn't have given me the look I was going for...it would have had too solid and had too much bulk.  It's really not as fragile as it looks.  You wouldn't want to play rough with it or fill it with large steel balls but it can hold it's own with fruit!  I've been using one of my earlier ones as a fruit bowl with no problems.

Thanks, Tre.  I've sold a few just for display!

Becki, this is truely awesome.

I just now realized which Becki you were.  I used to post on the glass source too.  Is that site still open?  Nice seeing your work again, as I used to love to watch for your latest creations.

Bet they don't stay in the shop long.  If they go fast, maybe you should do a nesting set of bowls (you know the kind that sits one inside the other), then the fans of this style could have a matching collection of them.

That would be me, Joan!  Yes, the site is still up and running...pop in sometime! Thanks for the lovely comments.

Graceful and elegant is what comes to me.  Very nice and just what I would like to see on my table.
