thanks everyone... I hope to finish them before we go on vacation later this week.

Lou Ann

needless to say I didn't get these done before vacation last week...

I managed to get the one with decorative foil soldered today, I'll put patina on later tonight...

The two that were supposed to have beads are no longer going to have beads, they will get some decorative foil as well. I spent way too much time on the first one today and after melting a bead to my soldering iron and burning my fingertips multiple times I decided that instead of throwing it at the wall, I would change to decorative foil... took the two all the way apart today and will refoil them later (I've lost the glassing mood)

oh, the 3 color one is in the trash -- when I started to foil it I found a big grinder chip that wasn't fixable and I wasn't in the mood to cut yet another piece...

it only looks crooked in the picture because the nail coming out of my chimney is bent -- too overcast to take a picture in the window so this is the second best place to do it in my house...

it does look good tho Lou Ann with the decorative foil.  You could try using some wire on the others to fancy them up. I hear you about the beads! Ok, visualize this - the sun is shining, everything is coming together superbly and you don't have to make dinner - there does that help?  Now phone your husband and tell him he's bringing dinner home.  Hope tomorrow's a fun day!!

Anne,

wire is a good idea but the last thing I want to deal with today -- it was getting the wire to attach to the side of the egg that threw me over the edge earlier -- I am seriously wire challenged and know it but haven't found the patience yet to work through it...

as far as my husband bringing home dinner -- we would starve

I have to work at the day job tomorrow but hope to have a nice quiet weekend glassing because family is going to the inlaws...

I like it!

I does look like Easter! I preferred the one with foil to the one with beads anyway.

If you're just soldering wire and don't have to worry about beads it's just a quick touch of the iron Lou Ann.  Wait till the weekend- it'll come together for you then! Try the small curl in the wire tutorial - the decoration I use for dress edging (I think I mentioned that in the tutorial comments).
