I'd tip the driver and send "thank you" notes to all that were involved in resolving the problem. They were, after all, doing their job but they did do it well.

I am glad I called Lynden Transport. She had heard nothing about it and found nothing on line about it either. She said UPS was being very tight with info on this, and she needs to deal with this before she could release the crate to me , via the driver, so it was good to have the heads up.

She also said she had another customer in North Pole who had the same thing going on and his was also lost on Oct 6th. She thinks a whole truck was lost for a while.
