HF only sells their bits in sets a 4 and only one is a 1/4" bit. Granted the price is cheap.

It is 20 bits for $7.99.  I use them over and over to drill holes in glass for wind chimes and to drill holes through the necks of slumped bottles.

You must be getting the the "extra special" bits, Rebecca.   I didn't find them to last that long.  What do you do with all the extras??

That is the shank size of all the bits, not the size hole it drills. I was looking for a 1/8" bit that will drill a 1/8" hole.

Most of them will drill an 1/8-inch hole.  There are only a few that don't work as well and those can be used for hand etching the glass. 

Yes, Becki, I go to a Harbor Freight store and Terry, who works there always makes sure I have the extra special treatment.

Don't know about their drill bits but I've been buying from them for 10yrs and they haven't let me down yet except for a miscount of a single item.
Just read their terms very carfully before you order.

In the past I have bought foil and bevels from them with no problems, though I have heard of others who have received suboptimal products (bevels) and other products. Might be worth a venture over there to check it out.

have not bought drill bits from them but have bought bevels and facets... will continue to buy bevels unless I am using multiple in a project (they are not a consistent size within a box which can matter in a panel with multiple bevels), will NOT buy facets because the last batch I got was over 75% unusable (large visible air bubbles) -- their response was they changed to a cheaper supplier to keep prices down and can't help the inferior product so I say Buyer Beware with them

Actually I believe it was your previous mention of that information I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember who initially said it. I think Joan had some problems as well, but not positive.

McGills?  Once I ordered some stuff and didn't get it.  I called and the man who answered the phone said pretty much what Lou Ann said - it's the suppliers fault, not ours.  But he used an expletive to explain it to me.  I'm no prude, but I thought it was unbusinesslike and as Lou Ann says, the bevels didn't match when I bought them.  So I have quit using them.
