awhile back Kev posted a fusing pattern for stars in the gallery and where I don't have a kiln, I decided to try and modify it so it could be done in stained glass -- Kev nicely sent it to me so I could shrink it to 3.5"

thanks Kev, if they weren't such a pain to put together, my tree would be covered with them this year :-)

Those are great, and alternating the Irid and color is beautiful. Nice job. Maybe your tree will be covered with them NEXT year.

Gee... I really like them LA..they turned out really nice, and I like the size you decided to do them. I think they would be very pretty on a tree, especially the irid clear one.

Good job!!!!! I hope they sell like hotcakes for you.

I hope not because I don't know if I have the patience to make any more than these 4 that I got done today... I'm just not in the right place for this type of pattern right now

They are pretty and I do think I missed seeing Kev's fused version.
What is the problem with making them, you have me curious?

They are more work than I like for an ornament... before they are soldered together they have to be tinned and because they are 2 layers, they need to be cleaned after they are tinned to get all the flux off and then they have to be tacked together with minimal flux (not the easiest thing to accomplish with all the pins holding the pieces in place) and attaching jump rings at a point like that is never fun because solder always globs on the sides and when you try and clean that up, the jump ring comes off...

I like ornaments that go together quickly and don't require "fiddly" work -- the small size of the pieces is annoying enough :-)

I think they are really cute, but I know all about the process I just finished one like that and said too much work too.

Have you thought of adding Play Do to your arsenal?
Between that and a jig I don't remember many problems with fiddly stuff.....other than I don't like repetitive items!

Those are really pretty, Lou Ann.   I think I'd prefer them to the similar ones I tried where the pieces all had to fit together!   But then I prefer fiddly to precision!   Sure they'll sell any way!   Maybe put the price just a little higher?? - so's you don't get some dear soul wanting 20 'just like that'!!??
