Here's my latest offering!   This guy started out as one of Jillian Sawyer's patterns,  but went through a few changes .   I originally made one a couple of years ago and this was an order generated from the original.

Something about the dragon hit me.
If you look at the curved part of the back
it looks like a woman with a head covering.

I hope you all can see it too!

Neat piece for much more than one reason!

Thanks guys!!  Hmmm - can't say I'd noticed the 'Madonna" on his back,  but yes - can see it now.  But a Red Madonna, Kev??? 
 He's only 15" from wing tip to tail - so Ja!  those claws were a bit of a trial!   I did cut the inner bits of the claws with Ian's ring saw,  and used my (antique!) band saw to cut the notch for his fang to fit into the mouth.   If I ever make him again,  I think I might enlarge the pattern a bit.   I have also done it smaller and a bit simplified in 3-d in a whirl,  but don't seem to have taken a picture.......
