My next project.

This will be another set comprising of an 11 inch platter and 4, 6 inch plates. I'm using persimmon and black with an overlaid square of iridized black. An oak leaf cluster is etched into it for the small plates and a tree for the large tray. I have just laid the tree on the small plate for the purpose of taking this pic as I ran out of persimmon and did not have enough to cut the large tray.

I will be firing it facedown intially with a black cap, and then flipping and contour fusing on the iridized squares...then slumping them into their final shape.

A simple design, but one that I believe will be elegant, especially with the flash of the gold background left on the  iridized squares.

Excuse the pic...I have not cleaned the glass yet.

Thanks Marsha! I think it will be quite elegant. I can see many possibilities for color combinations. I think the gold will really add a nice touch.

These are lovely...and not just for autumn. The colors are perfect if you like Arts and Crafts/Bungalow items, too.
