I figured that when we put another room on our house I would include just a little space for me.  I will still have the main work area down stairs but the planning and finish area will be upstairs.  I re-purposed a kitchen cabinet we had kept when we redid the kitchen and I am pretty proud of myself that I made a new drop in top for it. I put on the out side pieces and even hand mitered the corners except for two when a chop saw my brother had was used for the last two.  It has a sub layer of 1/2" plywood then I cut a piece of sheet rock that fit inside the perimeter of the top and just have to put down some homasote for the top layer.  May not be the best carpenter but I did ok and didn't have to but anything. Now I will be in hearing distance and  do more glass then usual.

Looks real good to me - and a nice re-use of something that would have gone to the landfill.

Nice work table you made there. It is always nice when we can use something that was going to be thrown away otherwise and no money had to be spent. You did a great job!!!
