I was looking at hardware for the house, saw this, and wondered if there would be a way to use them with glass. They're a little pricey for resale but they'd be wonderful for gifts...just thought I'd turn it over to the real artists and let you all chew on it..

Strictly for decorative purposes (hanging on the wall, or sitting on the side board) I can't think of any reason why they couldn't be used as handles on some sort of foiled glass tray. They are zinc - therefore solderable. But I don't think handles soldered to a foiled tray would support any load.
Lee Valley is the source of many, many treasures that aren't anywhere else.

They apparently have pegs on them that the wooden platter fits over.

Would be nice if they had a shot of them without the wood, that way we could tell just how they might be used with glass.

I've gotten things from Lee Valley for many years. They're a great company to deal with and have high quality goods. I would think those handles would be good to use with a fused plate/bowl. Perhaps by fusing in metal ties at each end of the plate would be a way of firmly attaching those handles. Interesting:)
