WTG Di!  Those are adorable!  I'm sure that they will sell straight away!  I saw Nansea's panel she did with a beautiful glass plate in her shop.  It was just gorgeous.

A friend of mine bought quite a few interesting patterned luncheon plates at an auction recently.  Going to see if she'll be willing to sell me one or two!  Now this gives me some incentive to come up with a neat design for them.

Nice job Di!!

I have been looking at the one shown on the side panel (Featured Artists)
and because the candy dish lid is heavy I am thinking it had to be reinforced.
How's my logic?

Helen, This lid is no heavier than a plate so I did no reinforcing. Its been hanging since I made it and everything looks good. But I'm sure a little reinforcement wouldn't hurt

Did you use a wider foil? I used lead for mine and figured on using wide foil for the next one.

Yes Yvonne I used wider foil and on some it took a double strip because of the lip on the lid. I thought of lead but I dont think it would work on some of them because of the edge.

Thanks, I've never tried with a lid, the only ones I've seen were sugar jar lids and done in lead.

Made few few smaller versions of the funky flower this one is 8" and I think it was Alan who made this star from a spectrum free pattern. I printed and found it was the same size as some star dishes I had so make them. I think they are pretty cool. Gotta love recycling!!

Love the shooting star Di.  I have always liked that pattern from Spectrum, it is a pure stroke of genious using your ash tray collection for it.

The wire work hanger is cool, but I am wondering if it is gonna be stronge to hold up, I mean hold the weight of the ash tray, the foiled edge isn't much support.

The one wire is attached where the dish and the blue glass is attached so it is on a good solder joint. I hope it will be strong enough and it has been hanging for about a week.
