It's evident that I live with a 12 year old boy when I type the title of this and I still giggle!
Chantal Pare posted this pattern on her site a little while back and I just fell in love with it! I originally planned on making it with yellows, oranges and reds, you know, to kind of make it kind of like the sun. When I decided that I'd make it for one of my sisters, I asked her what her favorite colors are, she said blue and green (those are my favorites, too!), so I found some pretty glasses and got to work. It's about 12 inches across, and I used a bunch of different types of glasses. It was the first time I've tried Uroboros glass (center and the multi-colored outer-most diamond pieces) and I liked it a lot!

Nice pic too btw!
Thanks everyone for the compliments! It was a fun piece to do, and went surprisingly quick considering all of the little pieces. Denise, thanks for the kudos on the picture, too! I always try to photograph my pieces in the daylight. I hang or prop up the piece in a window on the shady side of my house and turn off the flash. This way helps bring out the glass colors and textures, and turning off the flash hides my less than stellar soldering job! (My soldering has greatly improved over the past year, but I still have some rough spots on occasion!) Thanks again! I still think I may do one in the yellows, oranges and reds like I originally planned... I think it would look great out in the garden this summer!

lol..yes Thanks Gwen...Amber..she KNOWS I need the help...lol...I'm just going to invite her here the next time I have to take a pic of any of my pieces...just kidding....but seriously I'll put your words of wisdom to use...I take historically BAD pictures...maybe the word should be "hysterically" bad...but anyway..they're bad.

Thanks Audrey and Amber! And Denise, bite your tongue (or your fingers, since, um, you typed that)! Your photos aren't bad! How can they be bad when you're photographing such lovely pieces? You just gotta turn that flash off so that you don't have a big white shine in the middle of it.
