Hi,
I am a long time lurker and I am hoping for some help!

I am looking for antique colored jack chain (16 or 18 gauge).  I am only able to find bright and shiny colored copper jack chain.  I need to be able to match the copper patina color of my hangings.  I just received a roll from Delphi- way too bright!  Sometimes WC has it, but they are not consistant with the antique coloring.  Any ideas where I can find this?  Or is there a way to make the bright copper color "dull"?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

If I remember correctly, a little soak in bleach and then rinsed will dull it as well.

I'm gonna have to try fire & bleach, too. Great ideas! - Tod

Now that's if I remembered correctly....LOL...I do remember trying it on a panel I framed with copper, but that was some time ago now.

In my quest to find something to darken the shiny copper chain, I did try using copper patina- nothing.  I tried dunking it into black patina and it did darken the chain.  So far the black patina has worked the best.
