Nice idea, Ian.  I'd like to see that when it's finished.  What type of bubbles?

Sorry Becki
 Could'nt resist  rolleyes
I just try and get different bubble formations by fooling around with the firing schedule Here are some examples
Ian
Actually here is an example of devit in float glass If you look around the edges of the fish and turtles you will see a white line. In this case it somehow actually made the fish look more 3D. These were cut on a saw and fired twice Once to tack the frit coloring and then when the cap was fused onto the painted bottom piece.

 Hi Anne
I must admit that I have made about 18 of these platters 18 inches square. It's just that I am fascinated by this mold and so is everyone that sees these platters[They must be 'cos I have sold them all] Also you can't find anything like these in the shops. Another thing is that as I am no artist and can't really design that well I find that if I can get the technical aspects right and it looks impressive then people tend to see one and think "must have one of those" and then I discover that most of them are being used as "wall art" Oh the other thing i discovered was that if I called them Deep Blue or Spring tide or whatever then they sold even quicker. Go Figure!

Cool, good for you!  Hey art is in the eye of the beholder and obviously the presentation is right! Keep makin' em Ian, obviously there's a market for them there.

The more you make the more you sell, seems like a good way to do this.

 Could'nt resist  rolleyes

I know...I could tell by the evil grin!

Very cool bubble effect and I guess this is one of those instances where a little devit can enhance the project.
