Just got back from my Pittsburgh trip.  Great time.  Picked up the oxygen concentrator on the way, works great for only $50.00.  Now I just need my new torch.   hooray  The Church Brew was a great resturaunt.  Unfortunately it was dark out and they do not have the windows lit from outside.  What I could see of them was gorgeous.  http://www.churchbrew.com/church_beer.html

The next day I went to the Pittsburgh Glass Center.  Spent a couple of hours learning how  to make marbles.  I will post pics when they arrive.  I then spent a couple of hours in the hot shop making a couple of floats.  You can't see the colors in the pic because it is still hot.  I will post another when the floats arrive.

The next day I went to Connellsville to see Youghiogheny glass factory.  Went on the factory tour.  Pretty cool.  It's neat to watch them mix it.  After it is mixed, it goes through an annealing oven.  Takes 50 min to run through.  I thought it would need to anneal longer, but it doesn't.  Sorry for the quality of some of the pics.  I need a new camera.

Those look like nice places to go on these cold winter days! Thanks for sharing your fun stuff with us!

I sure wouldn't want to be wearing flip-flops on that Youghi driveway!

Scooch thanks for sharing the pictures from your trip with us.  That driveway sure must of have been a whoke lot prettier to look at than ashpalt.  I wonder what the money curve of glass verses stone would be.  As for kids and windows the answer seems pretty clear.  LOL

If anyone does plan on going, you need to call ahead and arrange for the factory tour at Youghi.  They are a relatively small operation and have some degree of disorganization, but it all works out in the end.
