Delphi and Harbor Freight don't have all the bits but sell a lot for small holes.
Other drill bits used in the float glass profession look like these:

Okay, here are two brands of the spades.  Tom, did you ever tell us what size you are drilling?

And here is a diamond core.  This is a small one, but you can see the package says they make them up to 1/2-inch.

Yes I think it was on the first page of this thread I said it is a 5/16ths or 8 mm bit.  Diamond hollow core.  The package does say it is for glass.

After going into this in a little more detail with Kev, I am going to order a different brand bit, and go up to 3/8ths to test it.

I would be pulling my hair out over this (if I had any)!     LOL

Yep, I think I said yesterday that the bit you have now should probably be replaced.

5/16 was the size of the hole I needed for the center of a light fixture I repaired.  I broke a couple before it got it, but I practiced on scrap float glass after the first broken one.  SLOW is definitely the secret.

OK, Tom, get yourself lots of scrap window glass and practice. No sense wasting another $100 worth...

I got the new bit, and it works like a dream.  I have no clue why the other doesnt work as it is a diamond hollow core bit and the packaging said it was specifically for glass, tile etc just like this new bit.

Dont expect any problems from here on out, except I might get tired of the pieces I have to do!!!

Hey!  It's working now because of all the good vibes we were sending your way! I'm glad it worked this time.  How many do you still have to do?
