It comes in LOTS of colors.  We have a Ben Franklin shop, which is a craft shop like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, only better.  They have a lot of colors.

Wow!  Gotta see if I can find some of that Rub 'n Buff stuff!
My tuppence worth (again!) The bigger nuggets would be nice if readily available smiley, the  slightly smaller halo is also nice.  Personal choice- I'd also go with same coloured patina/or not/rub 'n buff per angel and wings.  smiley

Here is a photo of Evelyn's angel slightly modified with the halo about the same as the original with a 1" nugget for the head. If anyone is interested, I can pass them the Glass Eye file for this or the other version.

Evelyn, I love these angels and what your doing. My favorite is the yellow one as well and the larger nugget would look better. I have found the larger ones at hobby lobby, dollar stores and AC Moore among other places. Love the idea for the rub-n-buff, I have some and will give it a try.

I think it looks much better with the wings upside-up.  I also think a larger head would be a little better.

As far as the charities-as your event is sponsored by the Blue Knights, you might check in with them and see if there are some bike charity events that you could send your donation to (Susan G Komen foundation tends to have a fair number of bike rides, and there are usually at least a few veteran's rides in any area, and there are load of others every summer).  A lot of that, of course, depends on whether this is really going to be a bike-heavy event, or if it is more that the BK's are putting it on, but it is not expected to be a 'biker' event.  If it is going to be a 'biker' event, be sure to have loads and loads of packing material, as even small items like that need some cushioning if they are going to go in someone's saddle bags or tank bags.

One year, at a charity ride, I won a huge dog bed....that I had to try to carry home on my bike.  Don't ask me how silly I looked rolling down the road with a giant dog bed (for my little Peke mix) strapped to the back of my bike.   rolleyes

Just a heads up, Evelyn, be very careful about the internet sites for the charities.  It has been on the news that there are several phony charity sites that look like the real one, and they end up with your credit card info.  You can't be to careful now a days with all this stuff being done by crooks.

I didn't realize you could use rub and buff on the solder.  I think I have some of that stuff around here from my ceramic days, now I'll have to dig through my stach and see LOL

I just wanted to thank Nansea again for drawing up the angel as a pattern for everyone - it was a real struggle for me to attempt to draw and post a pattern.

Joan - thanks for the heads up on the charity scams on the internet.

siddpup - last year (it was their first year) this event had 80 bikers, they are hoping to draw a little more this year.  The bike run starts at the local Harley dealership in Yorktown and ends in Gloucester, with stops along the way.  I have some small post office shipping boxes that these angels fit nicely into and some bubble wrap - but I had plans on mostly taking orders and mailing out (adding the additional $4.95 for mail).  I, hopefully, will have a few of each angel available for immediate sale, depends on if my glass order comes in, and of course, time.  Kind of came up with this idea last minute and the show is June 6th with my glass trip with Theresa next week taking up some time.  And...I'm laughing at the picture of the dog bed on the back of the motorcycle...bet you got quite a lot of stares...
