Here are the last 2 additions, Summer and Winter. I'm pleased with the results so far, and I think once the paint is applied, they will really fit in well with the other 2 seasons.

Awesome! I can't wait to see them all together! I sure hope you don't make us choose a favorite!

Hmmm, you must be reading my mind making summer and winter so much narrower than the others. As far as seasons go, summer and winter are the most uncomfortable. But spring and fall are da bomb! I wish those seasons would last all year!

I found a little surprise today when I went into the studio. There laying on my lightbox was the spring panel in 2 pieces. It was so sad to see this..it was by far my fav piece. I debated just doing another one again, but decided I would salvage what I had left and sliced  it into a 5" panel like the summer and wonter panel....I also cut the autumn panel to 5". Here is what I ended up with. I did not get to the painting today but hope to do it tomorrow morning.

Oh my gosh! What would make that happen? Just cooling? What a shame! Good salvage job though. Theyre beautiful.

That's one of the risks of fusing glass, internal stresses = surprises. I did follow the recommended fusing program, but things happen and you make the best of it.

I'm so glad you could save it tho Kev, but how disappointing. But in looking at the 4 of them together they still look awesome.  If it had to break at least it broke where you could salvage it.

True...but a disappointment none the less, but.....I can always make one from scratch again using the same glass, as another project or gift.

Awe Kev, when I read the first part of your post my heart sunk for you.  Thank Goodness, you were able to save it to make it work for you for.  They are awesome Kev.  Can't wait to see them in a light box all together.

The second one is always better than the first.  You will find ways to improve it!
