This was the request from a client!   It turned out that she wanted an all metal cross 'sort of like pewter' to sew onto a leather jacket!   So after a bit of head scratching - this is what I came up with!
I cut the basic cross from copper sheet,  then 'worked' a pattern onto it as for pewter,  then soldered over it,  rubbed down the high spots to simulate pewter  and finished it off with drilled holes on each arm for sewing.  She was thrilled and assures me that more of the Christian Bikers will want some..??

WOW, Beth, you stepped right up to the challenge and by the looks of it you exceeded their wishes.  Great job, I know you will be getting more orders when the bikers see these.  Good for you girl.  You just never know where your next order will be coming from huh

REALLY Awesome! They are wonderful.

Tell them not to fondle them and then eat. Lead is bad on sandwiches.

Rebecca

They're 10cm (4") tall.   Now she's talking about a bigger one for her wall - and wants an eagle's head for her hubby's jacket.  That could be a tad more of a challenge!
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
But Judy, - I thought bikers were tough ?  If they can chew nails , what's a bit 'o lead gonna do to them?

Uhhh Beth?  We're a bit tough, but not indestructible..lol.  Riding heavy metal is one thing..eating it is quite another.  Nice job on the crosses tho!  I'm sure that the Christian bikers will be asking for more of these!  Cool!
