True Ian. It was my intention to blast from the back. I bought 2 pieces of mirror to play with.

One thing I discovered with blasting mirror is that it looks way better when blasted from the back then you don't get the double image which tends to make the finished job look a bit bit fuzzy unless you look at it from straight onIan

True. Unless the mirror is very small - too small to be of any use.

I blast almost everything from the back, except cups, glass etc.
1) because you can't get inside the cup to do the blasting and
2) if some foodstuff etc is going to stick through a wash cycle, best it be on the out-side.

I think (IMHO) that the nice smooth shiny surface toward then observer looks better. But it also means that I must cut my stencils in mirror image.

Doing some blasting from both sides of the glass can create a "shadow" effect.
