Thanks to Kev for the pattern and huge thanks to Becki for all the teaching.  Last year I tried two of these, broke both of them in the slump.  At the time Becki gave me some hints as to what my problem likely was and I changed my schedule to what she suggested.  Viola! Success! So I thought I'd share the outcome.  And, as we know I'm not the photographer in this family so this isn't the best pic..........but we get what we get when we're too impatient to wait for the master to get around to it!

Woo-hoo!  So glad it worked for you, kiddo.  I like it...right down to the little dollop of cinnamon sprinkled whipped cream in the bottom!  grin  Teasing!  Don't  stick!!

I love it Anne. At least you learned something from the first 2 attempts, and it looks well worth the frustration it must have been.

Very nice, but like all bowls, it needs candy. I know that bowls can be used for other stuff, but really? Is anything else better?

Thanks everyone. Yes, I'm really happy this worked, I have a few other colors in mind now.  Kev's poinsettia bowl is really nice made up too in case any of the other fusers reading this are going to make any!

Yes patience is what we all need. I know I do as I haven't played with the kiln is a while due to not knowing what I was doing and learning as I go. Today ran into a friend that I went to stain glass class and she has been doing warm glass and has been making and selling her creations. Well she is willing to come over and help me and give me some pointers. I'm so excited.

Hey Di, that's great.  It'll be nice for you to get hands on help. I know for me the more I do the more it's all starting to make sense!

I agree on those other colors Kev, and I'm going to do a blue one too.  My sis used to have huge blue roses just outside her door, I've never forgotten them so have to make one!

Hey that's really nice Anne!  And yes, it does remind me of a Rugosa (Beach) Rose also!

And of course I'd fill it with candy!  LOL..drat..I have to give that up to loose weight?  Maybe I'm going to have to think about this a good long while..and while I am it..those M&M's look simply divine!

It's a beauty!!  De
