Just wanted to give a shout out and say HI. I'm from Southern Oregon, I do mostly copper foil stained glass but do have a kiln which my wife may teach me how to start fusing. She is a procelain painter, she have her kiln (which my glass will never touch) and I have a very old but fuctional one for glass. Looking forward to reading some great tips and maybe even give advise that I learn from my mistakes or as I call them experiments  grin

Welcome to the AOG family Merlin!

Experiments are a good thing! I do them all the time and are a great way for everyone to learn. I'm just getting into the hot glass scene as well. So lets bounce some ideas around.

Cold Glass, warm/hot Glass - it's all glass - and guess what - nothing else counts except that it's glass!!

Welcome.  Please, read and learn about glass before you use the kiln.  Your wife may know how to use it for porcelain, but glass is a different animal altogether.
