I have really drug my feet on this one.

The hand I made in a class called "Glass Manipulation" by Newy Fagan in Vegas 2008. It was a birthday present for my daughter since I was missing it to take the class. Actually Otto got to move the fingers for me cause I had to go grab a table for our group dinner. Good memories  .

So last year this time I fused the cat and glued the mosaic down. Happy birthday again 2009, ....... except about then I started planning for my New York trip and the mirror never was grouted.

This year , honest,     happy birthday kiddo! She and I had a nice afternoon together yesterday as I messed with mud and grouted it.

The hand is the sign language for "I Love You". It is also how she sucked her fingers as a baby. So double meaning for us.

Oh yeah, this is her cat Deisel, and she moved out last summer and misses her cat. so good timing on the cat mirror. We keep him so she has to come visit.  grin Not really, the running water here keeps her coming around. Her cabin is dry.

Judy that is so cool I really love it and the meaning for you and your daughter, I'm sure she will cherish it forever. I like the meaning of the I love you hand. my son and granddaughter sucked the same two fingers.

Thanks guys

One reason I drug my feet was I could not remember just how to grout. I had only done it twice and did not want to take the time to figure it out again. When I went south my "tile layer" brother in law mixed up a batch for me to finish the bird house. He said , just mix it like peanut butter.

I need to get the finished bird house chime photos up, I forgot about those........
