What you need is a laptop for the studio so you can stay connected lol we will miss you.  Sure is some eye candy that you put in the gallery just fantastic.  Would love to follow along the way as you create the window so don't forget to take pictures so you can show us later when you have time.

I have not been posting any pretty things to ponder, because I have been working hard on these church window designs. Last Thursday the priest came to see my studio and the pattern so far. I have finished the outside of the window design to scale. The priest was pleased and I was exhausted after he left. Post adrenaline let down.

The pattern is just the cut lines in red, trace painting lines in black, and lead lines in silver. No shading is represented here.

I changed much of the frame for copywrite reasons and added some Alaskana, but kept the basic feel of the original window boarders that are in the sanctuary. They will still have the same color patterning , including the red and blue glass spots. My windows are in another room so it is fine if they are similar, but not the same.

On the top of the frame, Passion or Pasque Flowers hold the base of the top arch leading to the cross. I like that touch. Our wild Prickly Rose is on the base of the outside arch, and the Tundra Rose is in the joints of the lower three arches. Dall Sheep are carved on the small top columns .

Fireweed are carved into the column on the sides with Chiming Bells on their capitols.

In the base there is a traditional Rose and "M" on the center medallion for Mary. There are also blueberries, Dogwood, Forget-me-nots, caribou and moose, carved on the pillars below.

Now I am taking a short break and working on a design for the AGG conference auction. I'll post it soonish. It will use the blue pot melt that looked like a skirt, or bat.  Giggle
