Oh Kev, it's very nice and definitely brings Spring to mind to me.  Spring skies are often just the palest color, sun's not as bright...I think it's perfect!  Sometimes things are just meant to be, whether we planned them that way or not!

Well...it's out of the kiln. Last night when I looked at it, I thought it might need more paint, but looking at it today, I think I will leave well enough alone, as sometimes more is less. Also applying more paint may make it look muddy. At the time of framing, I may play with the idea of using a pink shade of glass behind it to intensify the pick that looks almost clear in this piece. Another option is to apply some enamels and fire them. I have a wide selection of those, but have not played with them much as of yet. Hmm....more play options..LOL

This series is coming together so nicely Kev - I'll bet the longer you look at spring the more you're going to like it. I agree, less is more and it's easy to overdo it.  I think it looks good.  Again, wish I could see it in person.

I just applied some plum enamel to the white areas,  so we'll see how that comes out.

2 more to go!

The next 2 will be 5 inches wide whereas these were 11 inches wide.

Kev, that looks great with the plum enamel - probably what you were hoping to get from using the pink! So glad you kept going with this, you've really done a great job.  Wish I'd thought of it (and had the talent to pull it off) - but I have ordered the AE dvd to follow in your footsteps. LOL. Thanks for sharing!
