Judy, so sorry you've been sick.   About flying, tomorrow morning I'm flying to San Francisco to see my son before he heads to Pensicola  for flight school  - flying back tomorrow night.     I would love to meet you  - i sent you a pm too!
That would be great if the two of you could meet!
I'll wish you both a wonderful visit if that can be worked out.
Wish I was stuck in California, lol  Snow

Good ideas On your PM Shereen. We will work something out this week. Look forward to it. Have a good flight.

Nancy, I would give almost anything to have you stuck here with me. We will party and talk all night yet. I know this to be so!  Friends Maybe in South Africa, or under the midnight sun.

Marsha, I woke up , or did not sleep last night, anyway, was thinking about your pretty bowls. Try fusing the orange frit on a square pink sheet first. Heavy orange in the middle thinning out to clean pink. Put a light dusting of yellow on the center of the orange for POP. Full fuse. Your endges will putt but you will have a n nice sheet of glass to cut petals out of.

Grind one edge of the petals to a thin edge, so when you lay them in the swirl pattern overlapping a little, they will not show the under petals ridge. Now contour fuse to 1380F, 5 min hold

Now slump

I really want to see these

That is a good idea, Judy.  I've done something similar for my coral bowls when I couldn't find the right glass for the job.

Oh wow Judy!!  Thank you sooo much!!  I will definitely try that!!  I'm making shower prizes for daughter's baby shower next weekend.  Then hopefully I can try it!!  I made little magnets with baby feet for shower favors and put them in these cute boxes with pastel M&Ms.  I put each magnet in a white organza bag with a blue ribbon.  Thank you again Judy!!!!

Sorry, this is a bit off topic but Marsha's boxes made me think of it.  We were in Washington a couple of weeks ago and I had time to kill while my other half was browsing in a wood store (his guitars you know!).  I went into a place next door and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it - maybe the 50% off card store??.  I'm sure you'll all know what it is.  I was totally blown away by this store - they had theme party favors, every possible theme you can think of.  I don't think there's anything you guys can't buy!! I never see that kind of thing in Canada - but then again it's maybe because we aren't in a major market here.  Whatever, Marsha's party favors made me thing of it, lol.

Cute, favors Marsha. You are clever! Glad you liked the flower idea, at least something good came of laying awake. Doc put me on new meds and I miss my Robotussin PM. It totally knocked me out last week zzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZ. I can't wait to see the flower bowls.

Anne, I know what you mean by going crazy when you hit stores. I HATE shopping, but when I get to a shopping district a couple times a years I want to see everything, Everything! Even if I don't want to spend any money. I could spend days looking at junk I don't even want  undecided .  I just have to see all the ideas, I think. Probably similar to the way tourists feel when they come to the country we take forgranted.

WOW< just the idea I was looking for, AND A PATTERN TOO!  You're so kind.   I'll do it too and post it when done ! Thank you!            I didn't get home till this morning-  Wonderful SF fog  made my flight 2 hours late .  I used to live on yerba buana Island right in the middle of SF bay.   I know about that fog :)

My hubby flew home without me yesterday. I hope his landing in Portland and seattle went better than yours. they can be bad too and I have not heard from him yet. But I know he was late because I tried to call last night.

Glad you like the idea. Can't wait to see it.
