For those so inclined, Albinas Elskus' fantastic "The Art of Painting
on Glass" book is offered on ebay twice right now:

1982 softcover/starting at $90.71:

ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=160311287409

and 1980 (hard cover?) starting at $124.59:

ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330303649094

And you don't even get free shippping with either one. I suggest
getting the DVD from the SGAA for $15 or so. Or consider Peter McGrain's book/tapes/DVD's. Of course, most of the older books on sg technique have something to say about painting (Reyntiens, Devine & Blatchford, Whall, even Rothenberg, I think.) Sometimes, the Isenberg/Millard book comes up and that's not bad and is always much cheaper.

- Tod

PS: I have no vested interest in the sale of these books. I never
mention a book if there is a bid on it already.

Thanks for posting Tod. I haven't ever bought from EBay. I'll move into the 20th century soon. I'll pop over and take a look.  Theresa

This will make you treasure your copy of Albin's book even more:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000MXU8IO/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1233951428&sr=8-2&condition=used

As will these pages:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0684176432/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1233951428&sr=8-1&condition=used

I wonder if any actually sell at those prices? Also makes me wonder what the paperback copy he signed for me at the SGAA conference in Boston is worth now.
Like I'd ever sell it!

Over on the Stained Glass Forum, Dick Millard notes that Joe Porcelli (Glass Craftsman magazine) may have obtained the rights to republish the book which is a very good thing. -Tod
