I need to get the Glastar G8 mini work surface to feed water. There is enough water in the grinder and it won't feed the water up. It is clean and the table top in seated correctly and unless I want a shower with the reservoir to the top it won't work. I probably am having a air head moment but this is frustrating. Anybody have any ideas of what I have missed? I really have some tight spaces to grind.

Have you taken the white feeder off the water tray and cleaned it? Is the water control tap on the table clogged, one of those was my problem some time in the distant past.

before you take the water control feeder off, with water still in the grinder, try using a nasal aspirator (like you used on a baby's nose) to suck anything that might be stuck in the channel out... that has worked for me in the past and it was a lot quicker than taking the grinder apart, I've also used an open paperclip to losen anything that might be between the teeth on the water feeder...

I did what Yvonne suggested and I didn't take it off but used one of the little plastic things you get to fill the oil in the cutters. Had no problem getting the water to squirt through It still only works if I have the water up to the overflow divit towards the back and I get saturated. At least it works and Lou Ann when you start cutting the poinsettia panel he has put some real trying cuts in there. Tre I'll let you know if it miraculously starts working or maybe

my reservoir has to be pretty full as well, the other thing that has worked for me is changing the angle of the water control on the mini-surface...
I noticed the cuts when I was cutting my pattern out and I'm not looking forward to a few of them :-)

Finally got it to work. I tried again pushing water through with the oil fill bulb and reversed it too and it works fine now, hurray. Thanks everyone for you suggestions.

If you have to "over fill" the resevoir, you also need to look at the position of the impeller on the shaft. It can move up or down. Repositioning it can improve the flow of water to the top story. steve
