Thanks LouAnn.  The wing nuts do sound like a great idea too, especially at the bottom where the grids connect to the stands.  Great info.  Gotta love the sharing

will have to check them out.  I hope that they are stronge enough to hold the weight of the panels.

Joan we use them to hold the panels on the top of opposing grids and hang the glass from the grid in the middle.  The result is one heavy piece of grid.  We've done this for years and never had any grids collapse.  I know though there are a couple of different strengths (Quality) of them, don't buy the cheapest ones!

Congratulations on a good show, Joan!  I did a little local show on the 5th.....sold under $100....But it was a short show...only 11 -4...The last 2 years of shows have been really disappointing in this area...I lost money on almost every show I did...Gonna concentrate on internet and gallery sales for a little while, I think....Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thanks Annabelle.

You just never know about what to expect at a show.  I have done this show 3 times now.  The first year I did over $400.00 in the first hours, the second show it took me all day (11-4) to sell $100.00, this year I did way better than the first show and have 2 more sales pending.

I use Zip Ties also, the heaviest, black ones I can find.  I have 5 metal garden trellis's, that are shaped and look like a stained glass window..minus the glass, until I add it of course.  I use two zip ties between each section and stand them so that they support their own weight.  I've used these for the last several years with zero accidents and the zip ties have not failed me yet.  I say that they are the best invention since sliced bread!

To speak of the shows, don't get discouraged..I've done this one show in Nov several years in a row, give or take a year off once in awhile and had never done particularly well at it.  I usually showed there because it was a cheap show to get into and the money made by the organization went to a good cause.  I considered it more as advertising for classes and such.  It's never been what you'd call a high dollar venue, but this year for some reason people were buying and I've done better than I did at the previous shows combined.  Also did a little church fair and did well there too, considering that it was a first show for them.  And I managed to get some commission work at both shows.  So you never know.

Yes, Kev it is good that people are being to buy.  Just be aware that they are seeking out the lower price items, like $25.00 and under, on an average anyway.

Yes from last years show I did which I did well but not that good for the big crowd. This year we didn't get the traffic but everyone was buying and I did more than double this year, and yes my average sales were about 18.00 nothing over 25.00 sold but only had a few larger pieces.
