Well I am home thank Goodness  Had a great show.  Sold tons of stuff.  The funny thing with every thing I sold, you wouldn't know it when we repacked everything.

I sold several of my angels, both the table top and hanging ones, my stars (the 3d beveled ones) all sold.  They were buying them even before we get them up on to my display grids.  Funny, I was gonna make more but a few of the members who had made them hadn't sold any, so I didn't.  Many of the beveled ornaments and my other ornaments sold also.  Oh and my holly/poinsettia leaf candleholders sold too.  I have another sale pending too, a lady and her husband wanted my cat mirror, but when she went into her pocketbook she realized she didn't have her checkbook.

I'll post pictures of my display tomorrow, cause everything is still in my car.  The display grids were a real bear to put together and break back down, but I do have to say I loved the way they show the work, very professional looking.  Had it not been for my friend being such a dear and helping me, I would not have been able to do this show at all.  I met the nicest lady there today, she told me that she and her husband would help me to do future shows if I couldn't get someone.  Now how sweet is that, I had never met her till today.

I picked up another student today too.  So all and all, I would call it a great show, and the show was a freebe too.

Awesome news! Looking forward to your pics :). I like seeing how everyone displays and what they take, I'm still really new to craft shows so all ideas are good ones!

Oh I'm so glad Joan!  Congratulations!  I got your message when I got home, just a few minutes ago!

Well, I took my moravian stars and the people just didn't seem interested in them. Go figure. I'm really glad that your's sold well!  Whoo hoo!!!

Can't wait to see your display.  I'll have to scan in the pics my mother took of mine too.  I'll bet it looked great.  And a wonderful side benefit of having someone offer to help!  There's a real win/win situation!  Aren't people wonderful.

I'm glad that you're home safe and sound.  And yes, even when you sell lots it seems that the boxes are still full when you go to pack back up.  LOL. I think the stuff grows somehow.

We just got back from Christmas shopping, not a bad experience, but it started snowing later in the day and less than 3 miles from home we watched a young woman skid, go sideways and end up off the shoulder of the road into a big post.  I found a safe place to park and went back to see if she was alright.  She'd broken her drivers side window with her head.  Young woman, driving slowly, didn't do anything wrong that I could see, just hit a really bad patch in the road.  I'm thankful that the Jeep seems to hold the road fairly well.  Another driver stopped to, so she went to wait for the tow truck and police with the other lady.  She seemed ok, just shaken up a bit.

So be careful of these first snow storms guys..ugh.

Glad you ladies did well today.

Winter driving, not my favorite!
We have a law that your snow tires must be on by
November 15th or you are fined. One way to cut
down on accidents.

Thanks everyone.  Until I repack my thing myself I won't know how many empty containers I have, cause it seems that they were using more bubble wrap, putting the stuff back into the containers than I did.  When we were unpacking, I asked them to put the bubblewrap back into the container and each container is marked with what goes in it, but while packing they kept telling me they needed more bubblewrap lol

I forgot to mention that the facility where the show was (an assisted living place) asked me if I was interested in putting some of my things in their gift shop, on consignment.  I think I will give it a whirl and see how it goes.  I will ask them to tie the items to the display so they resident's won't be dropping them lol

Di I am happy for you that you had a great show too

De, I hope that that Lady went to the hospital.  You don't break a car window with your head and only get shuck up, I'll bet as sure as I am sitting here she has a concussion.

Joan that is great. It is good to hear someone had a successful show, especially after all the preparation for it and hassles you've had. It is good to hear you sound so excited.

That is so great, and what a good time of year for it to happen...way to go. I'm sure it makes all the efforts and hard work you put into it worth while, as well as a sense of accomplishment and pride in knowing others liked yours stuff and were willing to pay for it...rock on!
