when I can find the ginger beer.
If you have a Kroger's owned grocer store (Fry's, Smiths, Ralphs, Kroger's, etc) near you, see if they carry Reed's Ginger Beer - it's usually in the HEALTH/NATURAL FOODS section - lot's of ginger.

Never heard of them but I used to buy stocks of a ginger beer made in different strengths at The Border when we would go to DC or JR's in NC. I seldom drink so haven't thought to look for it up here, I will, thanks, I miss my Moscow Mules.

Thanks Beth. Yes I am going to use a swivel at the top to hang it I think.

finally finished this one up.
Couple of things I will remember next time, will not use this trim on the next one, increases the labor and price to much. will do the hanger different too. This hanger is ok, but want to come with something a little different next time

I leaned in towards the screen to get a better look. Did you use a fancy foil, or something else?

Thanks Audrey.
Lady Helen, the stuff I used is brass zipper channel. When I make another one I would use new wave foil instead though. The channel was not easy to fit near the top and bottom. I had to keep nipping off some of the designed edge for it to contour properly, and then the back side of the design shows through the clear iridized water glass.

I have some of that zipper channel at home but haven't tried working with it yet. It really adds to the whole over all Victorain look. Nice piece Joan:) A keepsake?

Thanks Nancy.
Yes the zipper channel is nice but just like with everything it can have some draw backs, that I of course had to learn the hard way lol Oh and can bite your hands if you aren't careful too
I hope to use it for custom orders at the spring shows

Turned out well! I know what you mean about the nipping, I don't like that zipper stuff.

I love it Joan. You did a great job even with all the boozing going on in here. But seriously I can see you selling tons of those.

Thanks Mich and Beth
Beth, don't pass the channel up completly. If you are adding it to an inexpensive pieces then by all means, but if you are doing a 600.00 piece, then by all means think of using it. The only reason I mentioned it was relative to this piece. Kinda of hard to justify the added expense to the price I could ask for, for this item. Now of course if the client knows it up front, than that is different.
