I went to Christmas Tree shops the other day and they had wine stoppers for sale that had crappy glass tops on them.  I broke the tops off and sat infront of the torch for a while.  This is what I ended up with.

The last wine stopper base comes from Delphi.

Wow Scooch, Im sure these are much much better than the originals....Love them all but partial to the last one.

I found some cheese spreaders at The Christmas Tree store  and needed 3 more spreaders so bought 2 boxes of 4, broke 3 while tying them on to the bottles......so much for quality

These will make nice gifts with a bottle of wine you are good to go. I love the first one, looks kind of like a cats eye marble to me.

Those are beautiful, Scooch!   Think the blue one's my favorite.
Managed to find a couple of those 'blanks'  whilst in Jo'burg earlier in the year - also treated myself to a bundle of moretti rods - just hav'nt got to the torch yet!   One of my priorities 'when the rush is over'??!!
They'll make super gifts - or are they for your private collection.....!!!
good reason to open a couple of bottles at a time??

But seriously - have wondered if one could use a regular cork and perhaps just use an appropriate brass screw, screwed into the cork??  With a spot of glue as you skrew it in??   Just wondering - for future reference! grin
