Here is something I'm working on now. It's A Blue Heron panel that I first saw on the Spectrum website and have gotten permission to modify and change.  I love working in clear textures and this will measure out to 20"x30". The whole thing is being done on clear & irid. textures from Kokomo, Spectrum, Pilkington, St Gobin and scrap clears from other projects.

Stunning would be the word, Nancy.  I like your use of clear textures.  Kokomo is a favorite of mine.

Ahhh! Becki, speaking of Kokomo, I'm hoping to go over there after picking up supplies from Hoy's in about a week or so. I'm REALLY looking forward to that. I was reading on another forum that you can get some nice deals on their off-colours...plus a warning to make sure to get enough of that off colour so I'll have enough left over for glass replacements, ect. Thanks for that comment Vic.

Here is my Glass Eye version of this panel. I've since changed the border to all bevels.

Thanks Joan:)

I'm with you on that Nancy. I did a small (8X10") panel one time with 11 different clears in it, plus a small bit of sandblasting to create the 11th.

Many years ago, I was unto photography - and I liked black and white, maybe for the same reason. The composition shows up clearly (no pun intended) but the colours are left to the imagination. My mind knows the colour of a heron, some reeds and some water, so I can mentally fill in the blanks.

That will be great. I love clear textures. The piece I did  that way was my favorite panel to work on.

It's going to be beautiful Nancy. I'm a clear texture girl too, did our front door and sidelight in clears, love it.  You'll be so pleased with this when it's done.

You're right Graham. It's a different way of thinking and seeing.
That single wave panel I showed earlier was my first clear one and I've been hooked on clears ever since:) Love the black and white thought! Another idea (which has most certainly been done, but I haven't seen it yet) is an old photo-look from the turn of the century. Like the wild wild west pics with mmmiss kitty in sepia tones, lol.

That's the way to get rid of all those various shades of brown and beige that collect in our shelves.

Be careful, Matt!

Hiya Beth:) I forgot to tell you earlier that I did add some copper strong line for added strength down the center of the panel. It's a little hard to see but that restrip is set in along where the red astricks are shown.

She's already to solder now. I don't think I can finish it today because of some outside work that buddy Dan would like help with, but will post it when I have it all done.

Thanks Judy, gws732 and mich4u33:)

Do give the clears a go mich!!! Graham's comment of a black and white photo is a good idea to keep in mind.
I'm going to make one other clear texture piece and then it's back to creating with some wild and wonderful colours/textures:)
