Thank's every one

Vic, I doubt she knows that. She leads but HATES it. I doubt she knows flux and patina damages paint. I found out the hard way once, but had forgotten that. I will tell her to be ultra careful, Thank you. Any suggestions to give her? What if she covered it with contact paper while working on the window?

maybe blue painters tape.  solder / patina the painted stuff last and neutralize quickly

I fired "Pearl" , my new kiln, twice last week to dry shelves and the bottom wash. It seemed to be okay but fluctuated at the top temp by 40 degrees. I thought maybe it was due to having the lid cracked to let out all that moisture.

The third time I fired it on Friday it failed after 3 hours. The error message said, "TCR" "Thermal Couple wires reversed" Disappointed I wrote to Arnold at Paragon. He wrote back and said the other numbers in the error code meant he needed to send me a new controller. We were both disappointed.

Surprisingly, Laura @ Paragon emailed me that night at midnight her time. We passed several emails back and forth over the weekend and I think we fixed the problem. The thermal couple wires were touching the power wires and creating electrical noise. The computer could not hear itself thinking.

I fired her up at noon today. I plotted out exactly what the temp ramp and time should be and the kiln has followed it to the exact degree for 5 hours now. Yippy!    Cheering 2

I LOVE Paragon! When I have trouble they help! I could not believe Laura was emailing me on the weekend. Wow! I was so disappointed when I thouhgt I needed a new controller, but I knew Arnold would not let me down.

The hand is getting better. It has been wrapped for 3 weeks now. Doc said no broken bones  grin , but that I messed up a ligament and cartilage, so I should baby it in my wrist brace for 2 more weeks. I take it off to paint ...  grin .. a girl can only be just so good.
