Before Rebecca and I went to New York for our painting class, I helped my friend at the glass shop with four church window designs. She then paid me ahead of time for the design work, and the hands and faces to be painted later. It paid for our car rental  grin

Later is now. I chose to not fully shade them because it will be the only paint on the window. So I kept them simple. The face on the right is in the kiln again cooling. I added a few lines near her nose to make it look smaller and fixed her left eye.

Kev, I love your sanding cabinet. I had a new baby arrive Thursday. I am also so excited! It's a Paragon Pearl 22 Kiln with a 20" x 20" shelf.

There are also 4 scrolls with scriptures on them for these windows. I will fire them in my new kiln .  cheesy They will be it's first real firing . The kiln wash on the shelf is cooling now.

Woo Hoo Judy! I'm so excited for you! We do love our babies don't we!

Your faces are fantastic! What are you using as a tool in your hand? It looks like a calligraphy pen.

I too want to see the panels when they are all put together in all their glory.

Thanks guys.

You are right as usual! Caligraphy pen.

Headed to town today to deliver the faces and get my hand exrayed. I think I broke it over 2 weeks ago and it is not healing like I hoped. :( Maybe because I kept drawing and cutting glass :)

Judy, I've always thought that painting was your niche.  You're a natural and they're lovely.  Good luck with the hand.

Judy, I know it has been said many times before, but I have to add my voice to the others.  The faces and hands are beautiful!  I, too, would love to see the finished piece.  I hope your hand heals quickly so you can continue practicing your wonderful gift without pain.

Thank you, I am so glad you guys like them. I am happy with them too  smiley

The hand has been wrapped for 16 days now. It is better but not fixed. So today I had it exrayed at the orthopedic surgeons office. No bones are broken, yippy! one is most likely bruised.

The pain and clicking or stabbing is from the "Triangular fibro cartilage complex".   Another words, I torn a ligament to some cartilage in my wrist. So I need to wear the brace for another 3 weeks. IF that does not fix it, then we get an MRI to see if it disconnected and needs surgery. I am voting for being just fine by Christmas or sooner

The drive home was not the worst but not good either.

I left at 2 pm to beat a coming storm, photo 1, but it caught me around 3 pm, photo 2. By 4 pm, I was almost home, it was getting dark. This is why I hate driving to town this time of year!

I also dropped off the faces and hands in town . They go into someone else's windows. Here are pictures of the St. Therese that she has partly cut out. I helped her clean up her designs, but I do not take credit for them since my hands were really tied.

I think they are off to a nice start.

I see that the window is foiled. Do they know that flux and patina can/will damage the paint?

Thank's every one

Vic, I doubt she knows that. She leads but HATES it. I doubt she knows flux and patina damages paint. I found out the hard way once, but had forgotten that. I will tell her to be ultra careful, Thank you. Any suggestions to give her? What if she covered it with contact paper while working on the window?
