Well I can breath a sigh of relief as all the the parties are over.  Here is the panel I made  for our other granddaughter to be. Her room is in butterflies in pinks and purple. Again grandpa made the frame ( I'll turn him into a woodworker yet), but hated every minute of it..lol

Oh Di.  But thank heaven you found this stuff before it got worse! Boy, aren't you a glutton for punishment - so now you're probably telling yourself you have to have this done before Christmas right?  Oh gee, no pressure!

The panel is lovely BTW!!

omg Di, what next is right, soooooooo sorry that you have run into that extra mess.

It is like when I putting the new floor in and found the rotten section, and my roof starting to bow so much in that little room.  Open it up and find out that the roof rafters were less than 2 inches high, rather than 2x8 like they should have been.  Imagine, rafters that are supposted to hold a flat roof being that small.  Now the thing of it is, it has been like that for 40 years and not cave in, but it was a cave in waiting to happen for sure.  Now it is all fixed, the room is sheet rocked and ready for a final painting, when we decide what color (LOL)

I don't know...but you have frightened me.  We have the World's Ugliest Wallpaper (TM) in our back room, semi-ugly wallpaper in our kitchen and dining room, and dark ugly wall paper in the World's Darkest Guest Bathroom (TM).  I have been avoiding the hassle of pulling it all down since we moved in.....nearly 15 years ago.  Now I am not just afraid of the PITA factor, but also the what will we find factor.  Yikes!

On the upside, I loved the flutter-by...simply lovely.

Lynn I used to work at a wallpaper and paint store about 15 yrs ago and everyroom had wallpaper and the kitchen was changed like people change their clothes. My family hated when new stuff came in as I would bring samples and have them hanging everywhere. This is the last room in in house with it as the walls underneath from changing so much are in rough shape but looks like that will be fixed now. Dont be scared it really isnt that bad to
take down ask me I know all the tricks.....

Thanks everyone for all the kinds words , I was happy with the way this panel came out since it was a combination of a few patterns.

Beautiful Panel!

Good luck with the renovation. Just stay focused on how nice it will be when it is finished. That can give the weariest rebuilder a half hour more energy  smiley

And take pictures of the remodel at every step. Not only is it fun to look at later, it can save you later (Now exactly where is that water pipe?)
