Recently several people measured their finished interlocking star
and the size varied slightly. It was explained that the margin setting
would account for the difference. Okay, that made sense, I got it.

I tried 2 different ways to get an accurate print out of the pattern tonight
and I need some help  because I really want to use the bevels I just bought
specifically for this project.

On my first try I opted for the no border printer preference.
The 2" circle bevel size was accurate, though the 1" square bevel was off by 2/12".

For my second try I interrupted my daughter from studying and she said
select margins and adjust them to 0, so I did that and printed it out.
It's the same size pattern I did the first time, meaning the circle bevel is short
by 1/4" and the bevel is short by 1/4".

What am I not doing correctly?
Sorry, I don't mean to be a PITA I just want to learn how to print patterns accurately.

I just looked at my pattern and didnt make any notes so that leaves me looking for PDF or a simple download printout. I will check the other computer.
I usually do as daughter said, the zero will default to something else but then prints at maximum, so that should be OK.
Is your paper setting set to US letter?
I dont get the 1", 2" descrepancy.
I think I already had the pattern, I printed in Paint and stuck 4 copies together, the bevels came out at 1 and 2 inches.

Didnt use Paint on this one I did have the pattern and copied @100%. I back to thinking paper sizes.

it's been a while but when I printed mine I printed it in Adobe Photoshop. I wasn't too concerned about the centre as I left mine open and put a crystal in it, and I didn't use bevels either.  Mine was the 15 " one Helen so don't let the size of mine throw you off.

Tomorrow I will be in Ottawa for a couple of days and I am hoping my girlfriend's husband can help me.
( I emailed the pattern to myself as an attachment so we can access it there via my Hotmail).
I need to figure this out so in the future I can troubleshoot other patterns myself.

I will be meeting Pinkcb tomorrow afternoon, looking forward to chatting in person and seeing her set up.
The day after I am going (alone by preference so I can once again take my time) to a huge Christmas Craft show, and I mean HUGE.
I already know 3 glassers will once again be there. Looking forward to seeing their creations and being
inspired.

Meanwhile I do want to thank you for trying to help, computers and I sometimes don't get along too well.
