Anne and her ol' eagle eye!  wink  Not necessarily out of character, Mal.  Maybe he's making a new fashion statement!  smiley

It's great! Any darker on the blue and you would have lost the shape of the moon from 10 paces.

it's cute Mal, but a stupid question - why a blue hat?

That's the first question that came to my mind too, Anne.
Maybe it's the off season, and the red one is still in cold storage with Mrs. Claus's mink coat.

Or maybe it's just Malinda made it and she likes to cause a stir lol????

that's my vote  grin I hadn't noticed it as a hat until it was pointed out, I thought it was just the top of the moon; had forgotten you said the pom pom was the end of a hat...

I have seen many "Old World" Santa's dressed in multiple colors other than red..maybe that explains it.

The shape of the "santa" is very similar to the 2 moons I was working on all day so maybe they clouded my vision...

Don't get me wrong, I think he's very cute, I just didn't see the blue as hat until it was pointed out...

Malinda, you are spot on for a seasonal blue moon this Christmas. December 2009 will see a blue moon. My Christmas theme this year will be blue, except for the tree.

That is a very cute wreath!  I too think if the hat had been darker you'd have lost the "look" of the moon.  And I agree with Y..lots of people like blue, or blue and white decorations in their home for the holidays.  Looks like you've got it all covered!

Nice job Mal!
