UV glue

I have never used UV glue, and now want to experiment with it....I want to bond lightweight chain to small votive holders.  Can UV glue be used on items that will be outside?  How big does the UV source have to be?  Does it need to be used in a closed box?  How long does the item need to be exposed to the light?  What are the best brands of UV glue, in your opinion?  Is there anything specific I need to know about this stuff?  Thanks, Folks.

I don't know because I've never used it, but the UV light won't penetrate the chain so you will have to use glass that it CAN penetrate and expose it through the glass.

Not sure if this would work in your case though I do remember someone tacked chain on one of their projects.

Try "Tri O Lyse" it will bond metal and glass together. I got mine at the local stained glass store.

Unfortunately UV glue is sensitive to moisture.  Look into resins, something like Araldite 20/20 will work.

Only problem I had is some of the stakes were accidentally left in the car in June/July here in TN and the heat got too much and they came apart

I had the same thing happen with epoxy Annabelle that LouAnn had with the glue she mentioned above.  Gee, it doesn't leave you many options does it? Be sure and let us know what you settle on and how it works.

I have asked the ladies who bought the stakes from me at the office and they all say the ones that have been outside are still doing fine; the intense heat of the car seems to have been my issue

Thanks to all of you for your input.  I have not gone forward with me experiment, yet.  I will let you know when I do....I am just trying to get around drilling 2 holes per votive holder.......Hope all had a Christmas Day full of good memories....annabelle
