I'm a newbie here and would like to introduce myself. I have been doing glass for the last 12 years and teaching for 6 of those years. I teach beginning, advanced (came, foil, and 3 dimensional), and fusing with kilns. I teach approx. 70 t0 80 students per year. I have done a lot of commission work , but prefer teaching. I typically am an observer but do occassionly raise a question or add some input if it looks like it would be helpful at these sites. Ive been at W-C chat , warm glas ,etc. for years. I'm looking forward to being on this site since it appears to be well organized and the participants are very qualified artists. I'm always open to questions and suggestions. I'm very knowledgeable of glass equip. and personally know many of the manufacturers. I was the first Certified Glass Instructor with the Vicki Payne instructor program.

Welcome! You're the first Vicki Payne Certified Glass Instructor I've ever actually heard of.

Your arrival gives me the opportunity to ask just what being a Certified Glass Instructor means, and under what authority Vicki Payne certifies instructors.
