I forgot to mention it's on a swivel hook so it turns with the wind.
Originally I had it hanging in a lilac tree, when the leaves all fell
I decided to leave it outdoors during the winter so I'd have
something colorful to look at while doing dishes.

I really like this idea!  I have a question though.  What does a swivel hook look like?  I am trying to visualize how it connects and where it swivels.   thanks  smiley

This is a swivel hook. It makes the piece move with the wind. I love this idea too.

You may also find small/medium sized swivels in most sporting goods departments, that being said you will need to make your hanging loops through the swivel loops before you solder them to your panel.  But I've used these on the tops of hanging 3 D stars and they look fairly nice and do the job.  Just another idea.
