Anne...thanks for the tip. I cold worked the both of them and absolutely love them. I have to fire polish the edges of them, but for now I have them in the kiln with the tray while it slumps...I'd like the edges softened slightly, but don't really want them rounded off, at least for these 2. I have also been playing with scraps, and since I had to fire up Beatrice along side Bertha, I figured why not try some more. They are all pretty basic in design, but I will be curious to see how they come out. The pics were taken before the clear cap was placed on it....still waiting for the kyle fire to dry. If they end up with irregularities, I can always cold work them as well...sure is fun though!

I am trying the relief fusing using 4 layers of cutouts. I have 1/8 fiber board, but it's too thick to fit into the punch.

Just fun little things to play with, but the Dichro looks so cool. I can see the arrowhead shaped one on a black leather cord.

Beatrice? Bertha? Sounds like a couple of hot mommas!

Okay, I'm going to show the rare girly side of Bleedy Pokes here... but I love dicro! So sparkly! So magical! So darn pretty!

The results....

These will be cold worked to even the edges and then be refired. They are not fantastic, but kinda neat. The original 2 that I had already cold worked, I placed in the kiln with the tray I was slumping and the edges came out exactly the way I wanted them..crisp and clear.

They are very nice indeed!  I tend to really go for the blues and greens..Now, question for you..are you leaving holes in them somewhere for hanging..are you going to mount them in a setting, or apply a bail for hanging?

Can't wait to see more!  De

For these I have/will glues a bail on the back. For the green set..I will probably have to drill these as the bail would be seen through the pendant and  earrings.

In the middle black one, I love how the small bubbles all align perfectly like I intended them to be there...ya...that's it...I planned that...lol

Really do like these.  Now on the cold worked pieces..do you foil the edges and solder or leave them as they are?  Good planning on the bubbles by the way..lol.

I leave them as they are. I like the clear cross section appearance of them. I'm going to coin a brand new term  in regards to this...remember...you heard it here first. ....I call this "Vitrimentary" Jewelry, because the sides are clear and verticle. When viewed from the side you can see the layers of glass that comprise the piece as if you were looking at sedimentary rocks and saw the different layers.
